The Riverfire 2013 Live stream was as spectacular as ever!
This event has been running for the past 15 years and has been a highlight of the Brisbane calendar.
Over 500,00 people flock to vantage points around the city to catch a glimpse of the marvel.
My interest was to enable so many more to view this by live stream the video directly to YouTube.
This was to allow those who are unable to view, the opportunity to do so at their leisure.
The people who watched live were amazed at what was shown and were busy commenting about the event and what their previous experience of the Riverfire event has been.
For me it was a long day, but productive all the same. I went down to the site at around 12:30pm to secure myself a vantage point and setup my equipment.
For this spot I used my small generator for power. While this is not ideal, it was adequate for the type of event, but mains power would have been more suitable if available.
The crowd started to build to watch the Riverfire 2013 at around 3:00pm and by 5:00pm the area around where I setup was packed out.
We had the fighter jets and helicopters overhead a few times in the afternoon and just before the fireworks started a lone fighter light up it’s afterburner. This was not like the previous F1-11 fighters, who could leave a heat trail in their path as they flew past, but spectacular none-the-less.
The Riverfire 2013 Live stream video that I was able to capture was spectacular!
Other than a little echo in the beginning (too many audio sources closeup) everything went perfectly!
